What Is FieldQuests?

FieldQuests is a marketplace for small, in-person community classes. A family books a class. A teacher lists the topic, the schedule, and the price. The point is to find a real hour with a named adult nearby, without needing a social feed to discover it.

Who it is for

The site is for homeschoolers, microschools, pods, co-ops, and other families who want hands-on local learning. It is also for teachers and skilled neighbors who want to offer a class. Children do not get sign-in accounts or direct messages. An adult manages the booking.

If you want the short version of payments, addresses, and screening, the FAQ answers those directly. The story of why the founders built it is on the about page.

Where the classes are

FieldQuests is aimed at local learning in Minnesota, including Minneapolis, St. Paul, and nearby towns. A class shows on a place page only when a teacher publishes it and the public area or ZIP places it there. Twin Cities kids classes, Minnesota kids activities, and Minnesota field trips do not add sample businesses to look full. If a page is empty, no published class matches yet. You can still browse every published class.

What a listing is supposed to show

Look for the teacher, the ages, the schedule, the capacity, the general area, the materials, what to bring, and how supervision works. Only a general area is public. The exact meeting address is shared with the booking adult after payment is confirmed. Pay through FieldQuests. The cancellation and refund policy is the place to read the money rules, not a comment thread.

Teacher identity and required background checks are reviewed before a class can be published. Screening is point-in-time. It is not a promise about the future. Details are in the teacher screening policy.

What FieldQuests is not

It is not a school that employs the teachers, and it is not a social network. FieldQuests provides marketplace and coordination tools. It does not operate, staff, or continuously monitor independently offered classes. The approved teacher named on the listing is responsible for delivery, the venue, the equipment, and supervision. No screening or marketplace removes every risk. The safety approach says that plainly.

It is also not a catalog of every activity in a state. If a teacher has not published a class, FieldQuests will not invent one.

Why families use it for in-person hours

Some learning needs a room, a tool, and other children in the same place. Why local in-person classes beat online for that kind of hour is about choosing the format. When you are ready to look, start with a published listing and the questions to ask before you enroll. If you teach, the matching door is sign up to teach.
