Nabo community policy
Community Guidelines
Pre-launch draft · Updated September 15, 2026
Be Neighborly
Treat families, learners, teachers, group leaders, venues, and Nabo staff with patience, honesty, and respect. Harassment, threats, bullying, hate, discrimination, sexual content, grooming, exploitation, retaliation, and repeated unwanted contact are prohibited.
Keep Children Safe
Only adults may hold accounts or use messaging. Adults must maintain age-appropriate physical and digital boundaries, follow the disclosed supervision and pickup plan, protect private information, and never arrange secret or direct communication with a child. Follow the Adult Code of Conduct.
Be Accurate and Dependable
Do not misrepresent identity, credentials, screening status, experience, reviews, availability, capacity, price, location, accessibility, or class outcomes. Communicate meaningful changes promptly. Teachers must keep required approval information current and families must share information necessary for safe participation.
Communicate Appropriately
Use messages for legitimate class and community purposes. Teachers may message a whole class, and a family or group reply becomes an individual adult-to-adult thread. Do not spam, pressure users to move sensitive communication off platform, request unnecessary child information, or share private thread content without permission.
Respect Privacy and Consent
Do not publish or redistribute a child’s name, image, medical details, contact details, profile information, or exact address without appropriate guardian permission. Obtain specific permission before taking or sharing class photos or recordings. Never use participant information for unrelated marketing.
Use Reviews Responsibly
Reviews must come from a genuine completed booking and describe the reviewer’s own experience. Do not offer incentives for positive reviews, retaliate over criticism, coordinate fake reviews, or include private child or health information.
Report Concerns
Report suspected policy violations, privacy concerns, unsafe conduct, inaccurate listings, or inappropriate messages through the Support page. Nabo may preserve relevant records and take proportionate action. For immediate danger or suspected abuse, contact 911 or the appropriate local authority first; Nabo support is not an emergency service.
Enforcement
Depending on severity and available information, Nabo may warn a user, remove content, limit messaging, cancel or pause a class, remove approval, restrict a profile, suspend an account, issue a refund, or contact appropriate authorities. Users may ask support to review a decision, but safety restrictions may remain while a review is pending.
