Nabo teacher safety
Teacher Screening and Approval Policy
Pre-launch draft · Updated September 15, 2026
Approval Required
Teachers may create and privately preview a profile while approval is pending. A teacher profile cannot be publicly listed and the teacher cannot publish classes until Nabo’s required profile review and background-screening status are approved and current.
Information Reviewed
Nabo may review identity and contact information, the public teacher introduction, experience, self-reported credentials, class subjects, policy agreements, screening consent, and information needed by the screening provider. Profile photos publish automatically and remain subject to removal under Nabo policies.
Background Screening
A qualified third-party provider may perform searches appropriate to the role and available jurisdiction. The final provider, screening scope, lookback rules, adjudication standards, dispute process, and renewal interval must be finalized before launch. A clear result is point-in-time information and cannot guarantee future conduct or safety.
Review Decisions
Nabo may request clarification, approve, deny, pause, or withdraw teaching access based on screening results, inaccurate information, expired requirements, reported conduct, or safety concerns. Applicants should receive a fair way to correct inaccurate information and any notices required by applicable law.
Ongoing Responsibility
Teachers must keep their information current and promptly report a material event that may affect eligibility or safety. Nabo may require renewed screening before a prior clearance expires.
Questions or Corrections
