Privacy Policy

Information We Collect
Nabo collects adult account and profile details, passwordless sign-in records, profile roles, family or group addresses and ZIP codes, teacher profile photos and public information, learner names, birthdates, grades, avatars, optional allergy or medical notes, class listings and photos, interests, favorites, bookings, waitlists, attendance, messages, reviews, support requests, transaction records, verification status, and technical or security data.
How We Use Information
We use information to authenticate users, maintain multiple profiles, calculate a learner’s current age and class eligibility, search by ZIP code and distance, operate listings and bookings, coordinate classes, provide messages and support, process payments and payouts, review teacher eligibility, prevent misuse, enforce policies, keep required records, and improve Nabo.
Children and Guardian-Managed Profiles
Nabo accounts are for adults. A parent or authorized guardian creates and controls each learner profile and confirms that they may provide the child’s information. Birthdates are kept private and used to calculate age; public pages and instructors receive an age rather than the raw birthdate. Optional medical or allergy notes should contain only information relevant to safe class participation and are shared only with the instructor for a booked class and authorized Nabo personnel when support or safety requires it.
Public and Private Profile Information
A teacher’s display name, photo or fallback avatar, company name, subjects and skills, experience, introduction, credentials, relevant-work links, reviews, and public classes may appear publicly after approval. Legal name, email, phone, home address, background-screening details, family and group account details, learner profiles, and private messages are not public. Credentials are self-reported unless Nabo clearly labels them as verified.
Location and Class Addresses
ZIP codes and general class areas support discovery and distance filtering. Nabo does not show a private class address on public listings. The exact address is revealed only to the relevant adult account after a confirmed, paid booking, subject to any safety or operational exception disclosed at booking.
Service Providers and Other Sharing
We disclose only what is reasonably needed to class participants, instructors, and vendors that provide hosting, database, authentication, email, payment, payout, storage, screening, analytics, security, and customer-support services. A payment provider receives payment details; Nabo is intended to retain transaction identifiers and statuses rather than full card or bank numbers. A screening provider may receive identity details; Nabo is intended to retain the result status and provider reference rather than raw identity documents. We may also disclose information when legally required, to protect safety or rights, or as part of a business transaction with appropriate safeguards.
Local Storage and Technical Data
Nabo uses browser storage and similar technology to preserve sign-in and active-profile state, search choices, draft or prototype data, security information, and basic preferences. Production analytics or optional cookies must be described here and, where required, offered with appropriate controls before they are enabled.
Sale, Advertising, and Communications
Nabo does not sell personal information or use learner information for targeted advertising. Service messages may be sent when needed for sign-in, booking, safety, payment, or account administration. In-app message email notifications are listed as coming soon and will not be represented as active until implemented.
Retention and Security
We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the stated purpose and for safety, dispute, fraud-prevention, accounting, and legal obligations. Child information must not be kept indefinitely without a continuing purpose. We use access controls and other reasonable safeguards, but no system can guarantee absolute security. Specific production retention schedules and an incident-response process must be finalized before launch.
Your Privacy Choices
Subject to applicable law, you may ask to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of eligible information; manage profile visibility; or appeal a denied privacy request. Account deletion may not immediately remove transaction, dispute, safety, or legal records that Nabo must retain. Use the Support page to submit a request. Nabo will verify the request and respond within the period required by applicable law.
Changes
Material changes will be presented with a new effective date and, when required, renewed consent—particularly before materially changing how children’s or other sensitive information is used or disclosed.
