Nabo legal
Terms of Use
Pre-launch draft · Updated September 15, 2026
Using Nabo
Nabo is a marketplace that helps adult family members, microschools and groups, and independent teachers find and coordinate local, in-person classes. You must be at least 18, provide accurate information, use Nabo lawfully, and have authority to act for each child or organization represented by your profile.
Accounts and Profiles
One adult may use the same email account for more than one Nabo profile and switch between eligible family, group, and teacher profiles. Actions are attributed to the active profile. Sign-in uses a passwordless email link, so you are responsible for protecting access to your email. Children have parent-managed learner profiles and do not create Nabo accounts.
Teacher Profiles and Approval
Teachers must provide truthful identity, experience, credential, profile-photo, and class information. A teacher may preview an unapproved profile, but it is not publicly available and classes cannot be published until required review and background-screening status are current and approved. A screening badge is a point-in-time status, not a guarantee of conduct, qualifications, or safety.
Listings, Interest, and Bookings
Teachers are responsible for accurate descriptions, subjects, age ranges, dates, times, prices, capacity, location details, included materials, hazards, and supervision expectations. An interest listing lets a family express interest and share availability; it is not a reservation or charge. A scheduled class may support booking, payment, a waitlist, favorites, attendance, and post-class reviews. Families must review details and provide information relevant to safe participation.
Payments, Fees, and Payouts
Stripe processes class charges and teacher payouts. Nabo’s current marketplace fee is 15% of teacher class revenue, with the applicable price, fee, and payout shown in the relevant transaction records. Taxes, payment-provider requirements, disputes, chargebacks, payout timing, and refunds may affect the final payout. See the Cancellation and Refund Policy.
Messages, Reviews, and Content
Use Nabo messages for class-related adult communication. Email message notifications are not currently available unless Nabo expressly says otherwise. Reviews must reflect a completed class and genuine booking experience. You retain ownership of content you submit, while giving Nabo permission to host, display, resize, and use it as needed to operate and promote your listing or profile. Do not upload content you lack permission to use.
Safety and Conduct
You must follow the Community Guidelines, the applicable Adult Code of Conduct, and Nabo’s Safety Approach. Nabo may review reports, remove content, pause classes, restrict features, suspend profiles or accounts, preserve relevant records, or contact authorities when appropriate.
Marketplace Role and Service Limits
Nabo provides marketplace and coordination tools; teachers control and deliver their classes. Nabo does not promise that a class, teacher, venue, screening, review, or user will meet every expectation, and no online or in-person activity is risk-free. Final warranty, liability, dispute-resolution, governing-law, and insurance terms must be completed with legal counsel before launch.
Changes and Contact
Nabo may update these terms as features and legal requirements change. Material changes will be presented with a new effective date and any consent required by law. Questions may be sent through the Support page.
