Cancellation and Refund Policy

Pre-launch draft · Updated September 15, 2026

Scheduled Classes and Interest Listings

This policy applies to paid scheduled classes. Clicking “I’m interested,” leaving availability notes, favoriting a class, or joining a waitlist is not a paid booking and does not by itself reserve a seat. Any charge and cancellation deadline must be shown before a booking is confirmed.

If a Family or Group Cancels

  • More than 48 hours before the published start time: full refund.
  • From 24 through 48 hours before the published start time: 50% refund.
  • Less than 24 hours before the published start time, or a no-show: no automatic refund.

A cancellation is effective when submitted through the available Nabo cancellation flow. If that flow is unavailable, contact Support promptly.

If a Teacher Cancels

The payer receives a full refund of the amount paid for the cancelled class. Teachers must notify enrolled adults promptly through Nabo messages and may not mark a teacher cancellation as a family cancellation.

Schedule or Location Changes

A material change to the date, start time, general location, instructor, format, or learner requirements must be communicated promptly. A booked family or group that cannot attend the materially changed class may decline the replacement and request a full refund.

Weather, Illness, and Emergencies

The teacher may offer a safe rescheduled date or a full refund. A credit may be offered only as an option, not as a required replacement for a refund when the teacher cancelled or materially changed the class.

Waitlists

Joining a waitlist does not create a charge. If a seat becomes available, Nabo may send an offer with an expiration time. A booking is confirmed only after the adult accepts and completes any required payment.

Refunds, Fees, and Payout Adjustments

Approved refunds return to the original payment method when possible. Bank and payment-provider processing times vary. Nabo’s current teacher marketplace fee is 15%; receipts and teacher payout records show the class subtotal, Nabo fee, and net payout. A refund, dispute, or chargeback may reverse the related fee and teacher payout as permitted by the payment terms presented at launch.

Exceptions and Disputes

Nabo may review documented emergencies, unsafe conditions, duplicate charges, materially inaccurate listings, or classes that did not occur as represented. Contact support before initiating a payment dispute when practical, but nothing here limits rights that cannot legally be waived.
