Safety Tips When Booking a Local Kids Class
Booking a local class is safer when you can see the plan, and still not risk-free. No badge removes the need to read the listing and decide whether this hour fits your child. Use the checks below. They match how FieldQuests describes its own limits.
Read the listing like a plan
Before you pay, you should see the instructor, the age range, the schedule, the capacity, the general area, the materials, what to bring, and the supervision expectation. If one of those is missing, ask. A warm photo is not a plan. The questions to ask before enrolling are the short version of this conversation.
What review means
Teacher identity and required background checks are reviewed before a class can be published. FieldQuests uses NCSI for its current teacher background-screening process. A clear result is information from a point in time. It is not a guarantee of future conduct, and it does not mean FieldQuests watched the class.
Credentials are self-reported unless they are expressly marked verified. FieldQuests does not operate, staff, or continuously monitor independently offered classes. The approved teacher named on the listing is responsible for delivery, the venue, the equipment, the supervision, and emergency planning. Assistants and substitutes may not teach or provide that promised supervision.
Read the teacher screening policy and the safety approach for the fuller account. Parents, guardians, and group leaders still choose whether the class is appropriate.
Addresses, accounts, and messages
Only a general area is public. The exact address is shared with the booking adult after a confirmed, paid booking. Do not repost that address or a roster. Children do not have sign-in accounts or direct message access. Keep class messages between adults.
Before the first day
Confirm drop-off, pickup, who may take your child home, allergies, and what you should do if you are late. Families remain responsible for those arrangements. The guardian responsibilities page is the policy version of that sentence.
Care notes about allergies, disability, or similar needs are optional. Booking does not depend on sharing them. A separate consent applies before relevant notes go to the approved teacher of that class. The consumer health data notice explains that choice.
If something is wrong
For immediate danger, call 911. FieldQuests support is not an emergency service. For suspected abuse or neglect, contact the appropriate local child-protection or law-enforcement authority, then tell FieldQuests so the platform can address access and records. For other concerns, use Support: unsafe behavior, a privacy problem, an inaccurate listing, or a pickup issue. Include the class and the date. Skip extra medical or payment details the report does not need.
The child safety and incident reporting policy is the reference. A careful booking is a set of plain facts you checked, not a feeling that a marketplace has made the hour harmless. When those facts are in the listing, you can browse published classes and decide with your eyes open.
